Truck Access Security Initiatives
Notice
REMINDER
March 9th, 2007
Montreal Gateway Terminals (MGT) proceeded
to further enhance and advance security protocols aimed to protect the
interests of associated clients, customers and stakeholders. This important
security phase was implemented with respect to the International Ship &
Port Facility Security Code (ISPS Code) – Part B, Section 16.10. To meet this
access identification requirement we elected to install Hand-Key II Recognition
Systems at the trucking wickets of both MGT Terminals.
Monday January 15th, 2007 started the intensive enrolment
process and will end Friday April 06, 2007.
IMPORTANT
As of April 9th, 2007 it will be necessary to be registered in
the system in order to carry out all transactions related to the delivery or
pick up of a container.
The
registration is currently taking place at Racine Terminal (Section 64 in the Port of Montreal) at the Security Supervisors
office from 06:00 to 16:00 Monday to Friday.
Following
this initial enrolment period it will still be possible to add new users, but
by appointment only.
For
additional information please refer to the information guide (Truck Access
Security Initiatives) available in the Racine waiting room at the trucking
wickets for both MGT Terminals.
Thank you for your cooperation.
