Export a container

If you are delivering an EXPORT container.

Please bring with you:

  • Trucking company name and the code number
  • Type of transaction (export)
  • Steamship line
  • Container number
  • Booking number
  • Port of discharge
  • Weight
  • Seal number (make sure container is sealed)
  • Tractor unit number, tractor/trailer (Chassis) license numbers
  • Backup paperwork

Temperature required for reefer containers.

For hazardous material containers, a dangerous goods declaration signed by the shipper is required

Container must be placarded if hazardous.

Once the interchange is issued, DON'T FORGET TO TAKE A NUMBER from the clerk, then proceed to the lane assigned to you (check the number given to you).

Read the interchange. Make sure all the information is correct before signing and before the checker signs it and gives you your copy.

If you don't know where you have to go in the yard, be sure to ask the checker the way to the assigned area.
