Pick up an empty container

If you are picking up an EMPTY container.

Please bring the required form with you or fill it in at the Truck Control Office

  • Trucking company name and code number
  • Type of transaction (empty)
  • Steamship line
  • Booking number
  • Tractor unit number, tractor/trailer license number

Once the interchange is issued, DON'T FORGET TO TAKE A NUMBER from the clerk, then proceed to the in-gate lane without stopping (if the chassis is empty), go to the location (printed on the TIR) and wait there for the container to be loaded onto your chassis.

In the yard, make sure the empty container you picked up is not damaged.

At the out-gate, give the TIR (Terminal Interchange Receipt) to the checker, who will write the container number, then proceed to the truck control office where the number will be matched with the Line. You will then be free to leave.
